Slah Eddine Manaa / Nay
Born in Kerouan in 1949. Obtained a diploma of Arab music and of nay at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Tunis in 1970 then became a professor of nay at the Rachidia. He made numerous musical trips to the Arab and Europe countries as a member of the National Folkloric Troupe and of the Rachidia. In 1976, he was sent to National Conservatory of Iraq as a professor of nay. Now he is a professor of the Superior Music Institute of Tunis. He composed a lot of pieces of music and published a method of nay. Also he is a master of manufacturing nay. Released the CD "LE NAI TUNISIEN / Slah Eddine Manaa" (Pastorale Records 1994).
Ridha Chemak / 'Ud
Born in la Chebba in 1966. Master of Arab music at the Superior Music Institute of Tunis in 1992. Also obtained a diploma of 'ud in the same year. Composer of Orchestras of Breeve and of Belfort in France. In 1994, he obtained the second prize at the Festival of Tunisian Song. Since1994, a pofessor and a conductor of the orchestra of the Superior Music Institute of Tunis. Musical director and a soloist of the Mediterranean Orchestra.
Jamel Abid / Qanun
Master of Arab music and professor of Qanun(zither) at at the National Conservatory of Tunis. Member of several orchestras and has
accompanied most of Tunisien stars in and out of Tunisia. Also has given
solo concerts and published a method of qanun.
Nabil Zammit / Violin
Born in Bni Khiar in 1968. Obtained a diploma of Arab music at the National Conservatory of Tunis in 1993. After the activities as a member of the Rachidia and of the Symphonic Orchestra of Tunis, now he is a member of RTT(Tunisian Radio & Television ) orchestra and a soloist of the Mediterranean Orchestra. Has accompanied a lot of famous instrumentalists and singers (Wadia Assafi, Sabah Fakhri, etc.) in and out of Tunisia and participated in numerous recordings.
Zoubeir Messai / Tar
Born in Tunis in 1968. Student of the National Arab Music Center of
Tunis. Member of the National Orchestra of Tunis and of Al Fen Al Anabi.
Participated in the recording of "LE NAI TUNISIEN" of Slah Eddine Manaa in 1994.
Abdelkrim Halilou / Cello
Born in Tunis in 1952. Obtained a diploma at the National Conservatory of Tunis where he is actually a professor of cello and solfege.
Since 1973, a member of the Rachidia. Also a member of the Tunisien Symphonic Orchestra since 1974. Has made numerous musical trips to Arab countries and Europe. Participated in the recording of "LE NAI TUNISIEN" of Slah Eddine Manaa in 1994.
